Isn't it bad enough that snails are so funny looking and so slow? Now you're telling me that we should hate them for plant defamation? Man... snails have it hard...p.s. I hear snails really like salt. If you salt the tomatoes the snails will be very happy.
My first job, at a garden centre, I was actually paid to go round with a box of salt and a bucket and pick snails off the plants. Traumatising. Plus it's amazing what people will think of to keep a 14-year-old busy....
