Amazingly a fig ripened on my little fig tree on my patio. Naturally I had to eat it this morning. It looks like another might be ripening as well - this is very exciting!!!

(added July 25) Two more figs ripened and were eaten by me this morning - these were juicier and figgier, mmmmmm...

I took it off the plate and put it in my mouth, chewed and swallowed!
ReplyDeleteIt could have been sweeter, but it was figgy, and I grew it myself - so that's what really counts!!!
I wish I knew what figgy tastes like. I think it would be a good taste, but I honestly have no idea. Someday I'll try fresh fig!
