Part of what we have to do at work is assess "SLOs" (student learning outcomes) every semester. I was a little slow in bothering to tally my pre and post semester assessment quizzes, and literally just got around to it now when I remembered that I had to create a new set for my new class starting next week...
Anyway, see if you can find what's wrong with this picture...
The equator? But if I'm wrong blame the kid with the broken arm!
ReplyDeleteWow. How about what's RIGHT with the picture?
ReplyDeleteYou've got a lot of work ahead of you.
equator was my fave... sort of...
ReplyDeleteWell I definitely think the picture is great! My drawing is crap but I thought the equator was in the wrong spot. Then again, I'm not a geologist and my head is still foggy from my stupid weekend. I thought there was actually something wrong with the photo that you wanted us to point out!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You and Brock should grab a beer soon. He has earned a night out after some incredible curtain hanging and I'm guessing you need to unwind as well after the craptastic jeep episode!
I don't get it. Apart from the wonky continents and the equator, is there something else wrong with this picture?
ReplyDeletethe continents are fine... I just wanted to point out the equator labeling. This globe is centered on the prime meridian, not that anyone in the class knew what that was.
ReplyDeleteI guess we now know where the waste rock from the Chunnel went.
ReplyDeleteI think it's nice that they shaded in the oceans. It improves the clarity of the illustration. If the equator passes so close to Nova Scotia, why am I not getting better weather this week?
