I was driving around the city today, and just beyond the pumpjacks north of Bake-town I came across the two things in this blog post title.
These little guys are just sooooooooooo cute! And while they are probably stupid, I think that the photo below captures a much better example of stupid.
Yes, that is a great big slump. And those are two million+ dollar homes. And to the right, just out the picture is the Kern River. And all that stuff the homes are built on is poorly consolidated sediment within the K.R. flood plain.

That really is stupid...
Cute but deadly! They are biting horses! They lure you in with their miniature cuteness and then... Reeaarrrghh! Tiny Horse teeth gnawing you to death while that adorable tuft of hair whips against you in mocking.
And when the houses fall into the sinkhole, will that be considered an "act of god" leaving these people to literally sink 2 million into their homes?
